Do you have to be fit to start CrossFit?

If I could get a dollar for every time someone said to me, “I need to be fit first to start CrossFit”, I would be a millionaire by now, 10-fold.

How do you get fit first if CrossFit is the avenue that’s going to get you there?

You can’t just take a pill or do a quick online course and get a certificate for it.

Everyone needs to start somewhere, right?

It takes turning up to classes, modifying the workout to according to your fitness levels and abilities, putting in the hard work and doing the hours. Then once and only once you have been turning up for a minimum of 3 classes a week for at least 3 months then your fitness level will improve.

So, the answer to the question is no. If you just start turning up, let the CrossFit coaches guide and support you through the process, and trust that process, then you will be on your way to be a fitter, happier healthier you!
